You got that right, that was the beginning of the era which was putting out some of the BEST country music ever, the mid-late 80s thru the late 90s, after that country music went down hill totally, Funny you should mention that about Judy Rodman i agree she was great also along with The Forester Sisters and The Girls Next Door

I forgot about The Girls Next Door. Yea, I think the real good days are about 86 to about 96. Great ten year run

From what i remember, I could be wrong, after his second album the label dropped him. After that he did some more writing for other artist and but never really got released anything else, at leas not a major label. It's the same ole story by many of artist.. Look at Judy Rodman? One of the biggest new comers of her year, then MTM went under and you never heard from her again.

This is my great uncle, and the song is about my grandma and grandpa. The three little girls are playing my mom and aunts. It's great to see this vide, I haven't seen it in years.

That's cool, if you see/talk to David let him know he does have FANS out here. I can't see my music taste being the same if it wasn't for his "Hard times on Easy Street" album. Also I can't imagine my teen years with out it.

No he's not from Minnesota. David Lynn is from Bexar, Arkansas. If anyone wants to see him live he has been playing in Hardy, Arkansas if I remember correctly.

I agree with most of the comments on here if not all!!!
I was at my friends the other night and they had the radio on a country music channel.
I did not recognize one artist of today.
Today it is NOT country---not sure what it is--GARBAGE best describes it!!
Thank God we have a choice now to watch what we call country of the past or good old rock and roll from late 50's to 70's. A few were good in the 80's to but after that it went down-hill quickly--never to return!!

This song truly brings tears to my eyes.. I remember being a little girl my dad on the phone someone telling him to change the channel. He turned the tv up so loud! I grew up on this, my Dad recently passed at 61 yrs old, this song makes me feel close to him! We are a Peterbilt trucking driving family, this is our song :) so many people feel with this song :)

Well this song rocks big time!!!
I agree with others comments to a point--disagree that country never sounded the same after the 90's---it lost its beauty sometime around the 80's--after that it is all crap and should not be called country--their is not a name for it these days--I mostly listen to Rock and Roll now from 50's--70's
