Relief International hosted a "Youth Journalism Camp" and a "Professional Development Workshop for Journalists" at the Unnayan Shangha, Chandra, Jamalpur. The Youth Journalism Camp was held on 9th and 10th April, and the Professional Development Workshop on 11th and 12th April 2011.

Relief International recognizes that the youth and media can be instrumental to the purpose of promoting awareness about human rights, which is a core aspect of the program "Enhancing Community Capacity to Reduce Vulnerability to Human Trafficking". Therefore the series of youth camps have been designed with a view to engaging the youth into the program activities which will generate awareness about the hazards of trafficking. Moreover, media professionals can reach a wide portion of the target locations by reporting on incidences and hazards associated with trafficking.

The participants of these events came from Melandah, Bakshiganj and Dewangonj in Jamalpur. 30 students and 6 teachers participated in the Youth Camp, and 30 media professionals participated in the Professional Development Workshop for the Journalists.
