Who Deserves a Longer Prison Sentence?

A Mississippi mother lied on her benefits applications (claiming there were no prior drug charges on her record) so that she could receive just $4,367 in food stamps and ended up with a 3 year prison sentence. Days later the MS federal court gave a shorter prison sentence to a key figure in a $3 mortgage fraud scheme.

@usernameableism Not only that, drug felons have extremely little opportunities in this country. They can't get financial aid, they get discriminated against at every job they go for, etc. If we want criminals to actually reform and do right then we have to at least give them the opportunity.

But noooo, all America wants to do is lock them up, make them career criminals then throw away the key when they accumulate enough crimes. Its a form of genocide when you think about everything.

@asmit172 Who the fuck ever said she was doing drugs when she had kids? Ever think these felonies we're from when she was younger, and her kids are being punished for it now? No, that would make it too complicated right? Lets just keep it simple and say no matter what you do, you we're convicted, therefor, you are a horrible person, and deserve no help.
