It is a rare sight to see Intercity First Great Western trains depart and arrive at London Waterloo rather than its usual terminus, Paddington. The train journey between London Waterloo and Penzance on a rare occasion is fascinating.

@harri395 I think FGW got rid of them hence the stored MK3 buffet cars but are now being turned into TSO's.

not really as a full stopping service takes about 5 hours between exeter & Waterloo
Exeter - Paddington takes about 4 hours ... ?

@buttercupline Yes but that is via Surbiton and HST are not allowed though Surbiton due to gauging issues so they have go go via Hounslow or Richmond to get into London Waterloo. Hence it will be a longer journey time!!! Because it was with these diversions.
