This is where the Bucks won their first championship. The video was shot by my brother Alex, and you can see the ref signal that the goal is good, sending the crowd into pandemonium.

  • lets see if we can win this year GO BUCKS GO!!

  • i heard people saying bull shet .ps Go Buckssssss

  • laredo is the best city in tx

  • Go BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was there and so were nearly 9,000 other fans. The goal was seen by everyone except by the Mudbugs fans. Dion Hyman shot a rocket that went to the right of Kenny Carrol, bounced off the padding of the net and came out between his legs. As soon as Dion shot, he turned, took of his helemt and gloves and skated to the other end. Absolutely no doubt by him that he had scored. Look at the reaction by all of the Bucks fans, it should tell the story. No controversy at all. Maybe only for the Bugs

  • its like the best thing in laredo to do

  • wtf? i thought people in laredo didn't even like hockey...

  • yep kscott. never have and never will forgive cruickshank or rufus.

  • Considered by many Bossier-Shreveport hockey fans the most controversial goal in minor league hockey history. I may be from Wichita (CHL Thunder), but in my opinion, Mudbugs fans have never forgiven referee Steve Cruikshank and the 70-year-old goal judge for what happened.

The Mudbugs have not won a title since they joined the CHL in the merger with the WPHL in 2001. Since the Thunder was out of it way early this season, I think the Mudbugs will pull a surprise this post-season. GO MUDBUGS!

  • Is this that infamous CHL game where a goal judge gave the cup-winning goal to his hometown team in a fit of "enthusiasm"?
