  • On this date in 1969 {Mar. 1st} "You've Made Me So Very Happy" entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it would peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} and spent 13 weeks in the Top 100...

    Ranked 45th on Billboard's Year-End Hot 100 Singles of 1969 chart.

Reached #35 on the U.K. Singles chart

    Original version by co-writter Brenda Holloday {#39/1967}

1st in a string of three straight #2 records by the group; first this one, then "Spinning Wheel", and finally "And When I Die", all in 1969.

  • sheer class great brass section

  • DCT has such a soul-full voice... Wish more modern folks would check him out...

  • Bobby Colomby, one of the best drummers ever!

  • QUE RICA MELODIA...............

    MMMMMM.....

  • Gotta love a cover that blows away the original

  • I still love this BS&T and still have the vinyl album...so freakin' good, tight horn section, soulful lyrics. Whoa!! Makes me feel young again.

  • I was what 11 12 when this band came out... Incredible...<3

  • Listen to the great bass guitar playing of Jim Fielder, too.

  • Co-written by the great Brenda Holloway. Her version's on here as well.

  • I never found out 'til years later that they quote their version of Tim Buckley's "Morning Glory" off their debut LP at the end. Was that meant as a thumb to nose at Al Kooper?

  • Yes I love this song! Great group!

  • THIS IS THE BEST HORN SECTION

  • He did it knowing that people would be asking that same question :S

  • @reverendglenn maybe one for live feed and film feed??? its weird

  • @reverendglenn He does his own backing vocals...

  • This 's a beautiful and one of the most famous song! I LOVE IT
