Traversing Hanging Rock on a 34C (93F) late spring day. At Vampire Cliff, you can apparently make out an image of a 'vampire' toward the bottom the cliff.

I also do a flying visit of Mount Macedon, eat an absolutely delicious molten chocolate muffin, and enter an absolutely disgusting public toilet. I'm not sure if a camera ever does justice to these things.

Speaking of flying, I did a copycat of what...

...did at Orange County, SoCal recently, and watch a plane fly over. Thanks for the earlier vid response. I really appreciated it. You are an amazing inspiration.

Did I say I was going to do a shout out video to other great YouTubers soon? You can mark my word on that one.

The song near the start is 'Legal Man' by Belle & Sebastian.

I have all sorts of ideas for road trips, so hope you stay tuned :) :) :)

  • Hanging Rock...what a payoff that was! Like a bad horror movie where you find who the killer was and you're like "WHAT?!"

  • When I saw that rock I felt like crushing someone with it. Seriously what a disappointment. But to be fair it was a nice day out.

  • Binge cam strikes again! Thats one mammoth muffin.

So you have towns called bum fuck too? Small world!

Great update and it shows we are in for some good weather down here soon, been shit lately. Although I'm like you and dont like constant heat, cant escape it easily. Definitely saw the vampire face, like instantly which is weird as I can stare at those 3d artworks and not see anything.

  • I couldn't guarantee not bingeing again in future! Soon I'll have to go on the World's Biggest Loser or something.

As for bum fucks, I was pretty sure there was a town somewhere on earth that was called it but not sure where. It's in NZ!!

Well it's been mid 30s for days. Adelaide is even hotter, as usual. Personally I don't mind extreme heat, even the low to mid 40s, as long as it doesn't last too long.

  • Weeeeeee!! Okay, the plane looked WAY effin' cool, but dude, I want your ice cream!!

I live for these vids of yours, buddy. I sprayed tea all over the keyboard during this one, you're so funny. You should sing on the next one, too.

  • I had a sherbert waffle cone. Had to lick it quick cos it was melting real fast. I would drive back to Mr Whippy just to get another.

Glad you like these vids! They are never planned or rehearsed. I think they turn out better that way.

  • You eat the best nosh in your vids.

I think that's what makes your videos so great, that you just record, and whatever comes out comes out. John and I are like that, too. Can't wait for your next vid, I love 'em. Stay cool and remember to use sunscreen!!

  • Oh no that's a great trip just with the Rock itself. I don't doubt that. I'm surprised they don't have a "Peter Weir trail", hee hee. He really introduced the world to the Rock with his film. Wow, that is far, the magic of cinema. Glad the Rock didn't swallow you whole or whatever it does, hee hee. Cool, thanks again!

  • Yep I survived to tell the tale :) Didn't get lost, AND in the middle of a spring heatwave!

Not surprisingly, the discovery centre had a number of displays on the making of that movie. The school scenes were filmed at a place in South Australia - about a 10 hour drive away! Having a day picnic there is an old tradition apparently. And since it is not remote, it is an easy day trip. I would've taken in a few local wineries too if time permitted, but alas it did not.

  • Yea, you survived the rock! *high fives* I think I could see a vampire face, but then I'm prone to seeing things, hee hee. I can't blame them for sticking a discovery centre alongside it, but it seems to take away the mystique of the place. I just assumed there was nothing around it, big open space as Weir's film indicated, I guess its changed a lot since 1975 when they made it, and it was set in what 1900, so they did their best to make it remote. Still, that was immensely cool to see, thanks!
