It wasn't until later when I woke up in a hospital bed that I even knew I fell asleep.
I looked around franticly and saw Joe... sitting in the armchair by my bed, asleep.
I started crying again, and he woke up.
"CHARLOTTE!" he jumped and hugged me as fast as he could. "Oh Char I'm so sorry I didn't get there earlier, I hate myself, I don't know what I would gave done if he had actually gotten to..." he trailed off.
"Wait... so he didn't?" I said wiping my eyes.
He pulled away from our hug and shook his head. "I punched his freaking face in before he got you fully undressed."
"Joe.." my voice cracked.
"Yeah CharBear" he said holding my hand.
"I love you.."
"I love you too"
And with that, I fell back into a deep sleep, his hand in mine.

***END OF FLASHBACK

I shivered again and pulled him closer to me.
"Oh Char.. I forgot... I'm sorry.. I wasn't thinking..." he said.
"Joey... it's okay..." I smiled and looked up at him.
"You sure" his eyes were filled with worry and sadness.
"I just need you.. okay?" I hugged him again.
"Well you'll always have me... No matter what happens, your never getting rid of me."
I smiled "Thanks"
"Of course... I mean after all... your my best friend"
"Yeah..." I sighed. "Best friend.."
He kissed my forehead and placed me on the bed next to him.
"Now Char.... ready for the songs?"
