這是一部用於銅鑼灣百德新街住宅60年代初期的迅達拉閘升降機, 同時可作商業用途,驅動裝置也較為新式，相比另一部同年代的設計，可讓客卡運轉的稍快。

裝置屬於1960年代的典型迅達設備，包括典型的樓層顯示器及機內採用木質款式拉閘，機內採用了Sabiem凹凸金屬表面,大部份工廠大廈的拉閘貨物升降機機內所使用樓層­顯示器安裝在客卡內機門頂部,罕有的是,一般住宅拉閘升降機機內樓層顯示器安裝在客卡內機門頂部,但客卡內的按鈕,以及地下大堂機外顯示多年前被外判給好歷(香港)有限公­司保養期間更換,現在此電梯已外判給全球第三的維修公司- 蒂森克虜伯作維修工作。

此升降機所在大廈位於百德新街63-65號,另外一部同款升降機位於該大廈後座,即百德新街59-61號。

Yes, I know it's sad when they take out nice building features, but it changes with time.

Normally if you happen to take such elevator, disregard whether you got it in Hong Kong or in North America, such ornate light (think art deco) will appear. Dunno why, probably it's the style back then, but nowadays, in some apartments people just remove it...

The apartments on Paterson Street used to have such elevators, but they started to disappear and are replaced by automatic doors and all.
