This video was uploaded primarily as a video response to a contest idea proposed by YouTube user Brandon401401. The rules for entry are simple; make a video of your favorite gun or knife. So I grabbed my trusty (and rare) lever action shotgun and a camera. This is the result.

My 21st birthday was last Friday, May 27, 2011, and for my birthday, my family sent me some home made oatmeal raisin cookies. Now, if there's one thing I love more than bikes, cars, or guns, it's oatmeal raisin cookies and milk. I decided to take some milk and cookies out to some woods I had access to, and blow some stuff up, but first, I had to stop by the grocery store for some supplies...

The gun in video is a Norinco Model 87, a replica of a Winchester Model 1887 lever action shotgun. It's wicked fun to shoot, as you can probably tell from the video, and I think that day I shot around 45 shells.

Unfortunately, the police showed up, and informed me that I wasn't quite as far away from civilization as I'd thought, as they'd been called out after gunfire was heard in some quiet neighborhood just behind the trees I was shooting near. Their only real comment was "Man, I can't believe you wasted that perfectly good watermelon." So I packed up my stuff and went on my way home to edit this video.

See if you can get some idea from this video why the neighbors would complain about this occurring just 200 feet from their houses. Crank up the volume and enjoy!

Oh, and if you're sitting in a hospital bed after some horrific bike crash, hang in there, and remember you've got friends in places you'd hate to live in. I love you man, this one's for you.

  • shot watermellon is the best watermellon you gotta kill it befor you can eat it

  • @SkidinDingo Definitely man. The slug sure blows stuff apart well, but the buckshot breaks it into bigger pieces. Keep that in mind, that's useful info right there.

  • Dude this vid is awesome! I think I was laughing the whole time. Thanks for your entry i appreciate you watching my channel. Good luck!

  • @Brandon401401 Oh well thanks man! And thanks for watching. Your "Will a 9mm really protect you?" video cracked me up too. Good stuff, keep it coming. I've got my fingers crossed.

  • @KYLEZ0R09 Hey. Thanks for stopping by. Every once in a while I'll have an issue with ejecting a shell. What I was told by the dealer when I went in for service is that you have to be pretty forceful with it. You really have to WRENCH it open and WRENCH it closed. "Don't pussyfoot around" is the advice I got. I haven't shot enough to determine if it's a certain ammo type. Hope this helps, congrats on having a sweet gun, cheers.
