The Blood Council Prince Keleseth Warlock Range Tanking PoV

Warlock tanking is fun now bask in all that is my warlockness. MUHAAAAAAAAAA

This is the Blood Council warlock range tank PoV enjoy!!

I used a variation of 40/30 with points in molten core, nether protection, master demonologist and demonic resilence. I popped shadow ward on empowered phases and when I had less than three orbs. I also used rank 1 corruption on the orbs since threat is based off the last person to attack them. I had a health pool of 27k w/o a flask of stoneblood should have used one. Empowered phases hit me for about 15k-17k.

I bound that Macro to my shift mouse wheel down button to make casting searing pain on Keleseth a breeze

Do not expect alot of dps from that build lol after all it is a tank build.

Correct me if I am wrong but I don't understand why you keep attacking the purple spheres. Their aggro works differently than regular mobs. What I mean is, whoever attacked them last gets aggro, therefore there is NO need to keep attacking them with searing pain once you have corruption up. It doesn't matter how much damage you do to them, but the last person to damage them will have their aggro. You do need to build up aggro on Keleseth though, he is just regular on that.

At the time, I was not sure how orb aggro worked but I did not use searing pain on the orbs I used rank 1 corruption. Note that this fight is recorded the week of the wing release. Rank 1 is nice for instant cast and does almost no damage and will pull off of cleave melee. Searing pain is going to the focus target via macro.

I am going to do this boss tommorow, and i have one question: Do i KILL these purple sphere things (as well as keeping aggro) - or are they meant to stay alive?

They need to stay alive they are your damage mitigation from shadow lance hence rank 1 Corruption. Also a note this is normal mode not herioc and though my tactics are correct they are overkill now for this fight

wow nice frame rate...is framerate processor based? I just upgraded my old crappy videocard and barely improved performance...25 mans suck

Wow is not GPU based game while it does help having a decent ram/ processor clocks is better. The recording was happening on another hardrive. Disable vsync, shadows and any of the lag fixes they have as they also severely limit frame rates.

Our guild was having a really hard time with this. We seemed to be getting the mechanics down just fine until we got to Keleseth. Than all of a sudden we're all getting knocked back, can't get heals up, nothing. And our lock tank was taking a LOT of damage, no matter how many orbs he had up. Now, he wants at least three up at all time? If he has more, it still stacks, right? I think I actually learned more from this one than from tankspot's.

How do you keep aggro on Keleseth without dieing? The moment i took aggro he turned around and 1 shotted me.

Good vid - I get to do this tomorrow. Made two attempts today, and while I think I had the basic idea right, it seemed disorganized and I didn't feel comfortable with it yet. Watching this helped me get a better idea of what to expect and how to deal with it. Thanks for sharing!

ehhm... my warlock does more threat with normal dpsing than by spamming searing pain, or am i wrong to think that? OOORR is searing pain more a way to save mana and prevent you from having to life tap...
