In India, the lowest caste are the Dalits. Often, the Dalits are rejected by society and have no opportunities. Gospel for Asia is implementing Bridge of Hope Centers across Asia where needy children can come for a 3 hour after school program of reading the Bible, songs, games, a meal, an annual medical checkup, and the love of Jesus. Children also receive school uniforms and payment of school fees and books. Many will also learn English, which turns the tables on the oppresive caste system. The Bridge of Hope Centers are not merely to help out children, they are fully integrated into the mission work in unreached areas of Asia. Gospel for Asia missionaries and local believers act as leaders of the centers. Weekly PTA meetings act as opportunities to preach the gospel and share Christ with the community. When resistant communities see the love shown to their children, they become more open to hearing the Gospel message. In one area, 50 Bridge of Hope Centers were opened, and within one year 37 new churches were planted!! All this in the most unreached places of Asia. Please consider sponsoring a child today.

@TheWandgirl Good question. Gospel for Asia guarantees 100% of all donations go to the mission field. They are able to do this because US staff and administration raise their own support. So the $28 will go to provide a daily meal, school tuition, school books, 2 uniforms, annual medical checkup. Some of the money will also pay for things like rent for the building the children are in or translation of the childrens' letters to and from English.
