Yeah me too... Right around the time DM came out I started listening to St Anger again and I realized how much anguish both the band as a whole and James personally was going through. Maybe it resonated with what I was going through at the time as well, but I realized how powerful this album really is...

Hammett: I don't really care what people think. These are our songs, and that's the reality of it. You can either take it or leave it, and if people don't like it, they have every right not to. We've never catered to anything ever in our lives, and why should we start now. Like all good bands, we definitely believe in moving forward and we believe in not trying to rekindle any former flames. You just end up going in circles when you do that. Thought Id share..

Well I love Metallica they are willing to change with time though they show they can still thrash and play as fast as any of the guys still doing nothing but thrash. If it were not for Cliff Burton I think they would of been nothing but a trash band that crashed and burned, no pun intended. He introduced them to lots of different music and qualities that have always set them apart.

wasn't much of a fan of St Anger when it first came out, but started listening to it again, and i gotta say its a great album. Love the songs; Sweet Amber, St. Anger, Unnamed Feeling & Some kind of Monster
