This video demonstrates how to do a decrease, using two stitches to create one. This is often written in a pattern as sc2tog or dc2tog (or any other stitch). This sometimes confuses folks as to what is meant. This is simply a decrease. You work your stitch to just before the last step, then insert into the next stitch and do the same. You can do this over any number of stitches. On the last stitch, you draw through all loops. There are variations that you can do, depending on your pattern.
