@RandomActsOfThought Watching this in theaters made the scene look humorous to me, more so because it took itself so seriously. For a jazz-centric comedy, I could understood why anyone would have a bit of a, "LOL wtf?" take on it, because they weren't used to that tone in the movie beforehand. That being said, I doubt that meant anyone who "laughed" hated it. I personally loved it; I just also happened to giggle at some parts. Didn't cry, sorry. But did like it.

it actually made me laugh! but i loved it! it's just that, i don know, like it has serious humour infused cleverly in it. erick/eric was so small and cute and then he snapped and sung like a professional opera singer! it's just cool.. and funny.. and cute.. and beautiful.. and magnificent all at the same time!!
