Jack Russel Terriers hunting down a chipmunk, hidden under the rock. The chirping drives them nuts. See another action at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfkozVsoXEU

  • And so these two bad ass dogs ran around a rock for 2:19 and?

  • @IamMohawk - they do catch a chippie once in a while, but not in that video... not too long ago they were violently running around another rock on our property so I went to get camera (that is always ready to take pictures and videos) and before I returned the black one caught one - it was matter of about 20 seconds... the chippie could not take the stress under the rock and started running to another hide out, but didn't make it :-(

it made me upset - I love our chippies, but I love our dogs 2

  • My JRs would have dug that rock out of the ground!!!

These guys need a little encouragement! he he he!

  • @pattiofdarkstar mine too - if I would let them... especially Yoda (the black one)

  • i have owned JRT's for years......they wont stop till the job is done

  • @jj9739 - what a true statement

  • It has nothing to do with food. Its genetic programing through breeding. Thats what JRs are bred to do. They do it well and are the smartest.

  • JRTS are the most awesome hunters out there. They WILL burrow to chase anything down.

  • @IamMohawk Technically the title of this video isn't misleading. it doesn't say JRT's do cartwheels and triple back flips and then awesomely murder a chipmunk. It says JRTs in action, the action meaning letting instinct kick in and trying to make a kill. "Hunting down a chipmunk". The act of hunting doesn't = a kill - stop being a fucking moron.

  • They LIVE for this !!

  • Russells are ok but Patterdales are better!

  • Haha,,,, u muppit,,,!!!

  • Wow , ........how exciting , why would you bother posting that ?

  • they're an awesome squirrel dog too, they keep them in the trees for easy hunting, the squirrel watches the dog and not the hunter, you get the dog to stay on one side and you go on the other, the squirrel will go to your side and boom.

only downside is I can't in good conscience get one, coyotes are rampant in my area and I'd hate to have it killed by a coyote due to their size.

  • @IamMohawk I wish I had these two here at my home to get the darn squirrels.

  • teamwork!
