This is one of those pieces that let you remain speechless and that touch your very bottom of your heart.

Thank God he created people like Faure with the gift to compose such masterpieces !

Yes! Haha, it's how i first heard this. It's around that time that I started to appreciate classical music and, although still an amateur listener (in all honesty), I recognise this as oneof the pieces that caught my imagination. I actually still have the image of French footballer celebrating when I hear this, which is quite bizarre to say the least! :P

I remember this from France '98, the BBC coverage when I was a boy.
Still gives me chills now, beautiful, haunting and such a thought provoking song.
