A brief video describing the major pressures in capillary filtration as well as how those pressures are altered in edema. The four main causes of edema include increased hydrostatic pressure, decreased osmotic pressure, capillary permeability, and lymphatic blockage. Further discussion includes major pathologies that influence or precede these causes of edema.

  • Highly technical but interesting if - like me - you have Lymphoedema.

    (I suppose patients shouldn't really be watching medical training films.)

    However, the lecturer is brilliant..

    Shouldn't there really be an 'O' at the front of Oedema?
