It's early on Sunday morning. It is far easier to roll over and sleep in. Besides, who wants to be around people who seem to be only absorbed in themselves. Ever felt that way? I know I have. Yet we should know that it is not the people that push us away from the presence of God, whether it is in a church or alone. It is our sinful nature that drags us from Him and we have to continually seek Him.

There are two sides to this song. One side is the believer who is distancing himself from other believers. The other side is where the author is standing, knowing he should reach out to this person.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Galatians 6.10

Jesus said it best when He summed it up with this statement.
Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Matthew 22.37-40
If we love God then we will naturally love others. Not only will we be reaching out to those who are distancing themselves from other believers but those of us who are distancing themselves would return back to the fold.
