Apple failed to release a larger screen and refreshed form factor. That echos the sentiment of a LOT of disappointed iPhone users. If they hadn't waited 16 months for the release, perhaps it would be excusable.

Ok that's fair point, they should have call it the iPhone 5, and refreshed the form factor, thats all else they needed to do.

In terms of the internals there pretty decent, you do have iOS 5, and Siri. If that not enough then you can always get a Galaxy S2.. I do like the screen size on that, but it lacks the resolution of the retina display, and does feel cheaply made compared to the iPhone 4S.

I believe the camera will prove to best we've seen on a smartphone to date.

@AppScreencast I'll probably end up getting the 4S despite my disappointment but only because I qualify for AT&T's subsidy and I can recoup the full cost by selling my current iPhone 4.

Apple made a huge error in not bringing their 'A' game after 16 fucking months. They could afford to do it with the 3GS when competition was lackluster but the Androids on the market now are remarkable. Apple, in their arrogance, done fucked up.

In what way does Android trump the iPhone 4S? maybe a larger screen? maybe fresh design would have pleased people more, but this may not beat the flagship devices from HTC and Samsung, but it equals them in my opinion, if you want a 4" screen then obviously the iPhone 4S isn't for you.

I wanted a larger screen to be honest, so I'm sticking with my iPhone 4, save myself some money anyhow lol.

@64marion I'm not discriminatory to blind people so get off your high horse and think about how this is possibly just something the advertisers overlooked because they didn't think about the individual. Thats my point. Blind people can do what they want but the first page of your apps is probably something you would use a lot right? so unless she uses siri to constantly share photos from her photo app... its pointless. Videos, iBooks and Game center was there too...
