Countdown performance of the last single from the Hot For The Orient album (1980); neither were particularly successful. The track is notable for its rare lead vocal by Bongo Starkie. The band split not long after, before reforming several times with the "hit" line-up.

Bit hard on America - It certainly wasn't the only country to have drugs. This song just makes them sound a bit naive to be honest.

We as true fans all know that is a classic Hooks song, the album again was a solid effort, but all the radio stations and marketing people could not get beyond the fact that Shirl was no longer the singer, they were all fools, because this is as good as anything on offer at the time.

Bongo's voice is pretty good considering he only ever did backing vocals and it was difficult to differentiate between the other backing vox ... he looks so youthful ... must track down "Hot for the Orient" and give it a real listen cos I had sort of deserted them by this time ... much like I did when KISS released "I was made for lovin' you" .. but I have long since grown to appreciate these musical changes that bands seem to have to make ...

Great song from this album. Way to go Bongo not bad for someone who is normally behind a guitar and not in front of the microphone. SKYHOOKS ROCK 4 EVA
