LCO New: Explore 'Inspired by Architecture' Study Day
23 November 2009, London City Hall

Pianist David Gordon plays a set of improvisations inspired by East London buildings. Student composers from across the UK & Ireland who attended the Study Day were invited to compose a short composition for London Chamber Orchestra inspired by two RIBA award-winning buildings: Marcus Lee's Frame House (Rowe Lane, Hackney) or Cany Ash's Hothouse (London Fields).

Six short-listed compositions will be workshopped and recorded at a free East Festival event at The Octagon, Queen Mary University of London, Mile End on Saturday 6 March 2010, 10am-5pm. The final run-through starts at 4pm. Come along and experience the creation of new music. All are welcome!
