Is it ok to like LOTR and SW? One is sci fi and the other more fantasy. Also Harrison is talking out of his ass here, by far Han was the most interesting character, one of the few non transparent characters.

He wanted his character to be killed off at the end of ESB. Then there would have been no Jabba in ROTJ.

@Sablicious Ouch! Touched a nerve in you, I see.

@squamish4244 lol... LotR? Really?
The story of some midget gay lovers who took on a power so immense it made the Emperor look like a frail nursing home geriatric and won; when all the armies of the lands could not??
lol!

@Sablicious It is more than a kiddie flick(s), but when kids reach the age of about 12 (when they are leaving childhood), they become more interested in other mythologies like LOTR, Dune, or The Left Hand of Darkness, which dare I say are deeper and more profound and beyond the grasp of most 7-8 year old who can understand the Star Wars OT perfectly well. All IMO of course, so don't flame me.

They should make a George Lucas action figure with detachable velcro limbs and head.

@squamish4244 Dumbass.

they should have killed george lucas
I gotta disagree with you Harrison. They made Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru action figures.

@squamish4244 If SW was nothing but a kiddy flick, why was / IS it so popular, even today?
If you think SW is little more than Telly Tubbies in space, then I'm afraid you missed the point.
Don't confuse the whoring of the license today with what the vision was back then; the very problem being implied here.
