The first episode of the BBC TV series 'Dead Of Night'. First aired on 5 November 1972, 'The Exorcism' was written and directed by Don Taylor and starred Anna Cropper, Sylvia Kay, Edward Petherbridge and Clive Swift. As far as I know, only three of the seven episodes of this series are known to survive.
UGH! I have no sound! Didnt anyone else run into this issue? I keep backing out and opening other random videos, and i can hear them perfectly. I dont know why these 4 videos are completely muted. I really want to see this...AND hear it.

Scared the life out of me when I saw this when I was 9. Saw it again a couple of years ago. This is what the BBC used to do so well. Just watched the phone box too - blimey - we watched some scary stuff when we were kids. Funny how we all seem to be the same age-ish!

'we should concentrate on being socialists and rich' - not unlike a certain ex- prime minister (minus the socialism!)

Don't worry, the blackout is neither a fuse nor an evil spirit...its just the shambolic state of the British economy in 1972...
