This is what S. D. Burman wrote about this song in his autobiography, "“In another Navketan production ‘Kala Pani’, as the music director, in one of the songs I used the rhythm of Ghazal in the Mukhda and Geet in the Antara. The first line was, ‘Hum bekhudi mein tum ko pukare chale gaye’. I used Mohd Rafi for this song. Rafi sang it extremely well, with the tone up to my satisfaction.”

wtf ..... how can anyone dislike this
-
hum mmhmmhmhmmhmmm aaaaaaaaAAaa chale gaye

Rafisaab the greatest .... none like him ever was and never will.... genius
-
Obviously one person with no taste for music voted this down.
Rafi's talent can be known just from listening from the beginning to the first time he says "Chale gaye" .....try it and one would know how difficult it is to produce just that simple sound...
