@avhfj He plays it even slower on Melodiya's "Richter plays Debussy" in Moscow, which is absolutely incredible; one of the most touching performaces ive ever heard... Check it out

@philipvanlidth Dry ice (CO2) may be used for low-lying fog -- as in the boat ride in the phantom of the opera. (CO2 is heavier than air.) Or, glycol-water vapor for a mist in the mid-air.
Anyone with cold perhaps should stay home. even though it would be pain to miss someone like Richter. missed Blechacz due to a snowstorm, but got over it.

He plays Claire de Lune so much slower than everyone else; gives it a wonderfully ethereal quality.

finally a video of a magistral interpretation of this piece. Oh I wish I could have witnessed a Richter concert...
also a great breath of fresh air from all the "twilight videos" featuring this piece, most of the times poorly played, unable to show the true beauty of Debussy's works. I also recommend all of his Preludes! =D
