Game Mechanics Explained Ep 3: (Item) Cell Battery

Welcome to a series of mine where I explain certain Pokemon Game Mechanics to beginners who are new to the game. Even though this series is aimed at beginners, advanced battlers can still find out new information about the mechanics of the game they may not have even known about.

This week we take a look at a new item that was introduced in the 5th gen known as "Cell Battery". It is an item that when the holder is hit by an electric attack, the holder will gain an attack boost. Can it be used in competitive battling, watch and find out.

Side Note:
This episode was a personal preference of mine, I wanted to test the item to see if it can be used in competitive play!

In short, it only works when you take damage from the Electric Attack then.

@XSquareStickIt Basicly yeah, but you wouldnt throw it on a pokémon that has Volt absorb/Motor drive etc, as Cell Battery will not work then!

@fiddleswith I fucking hate (and have always hated) that stupid shit facebook, or any other social networking site (probably becuase I have no social life myself, and yes, i do realize that youtube is kind of considered a social networking site). It's also VERY clear that aamazing stays away from the comptitive aspects of pokemon.Just look at most of his teams. Anyone can see they aren't the most competitve. (I'm not saying he's a bad battler)

I was never entertaining, I always do the same shit, so I'm not sure what you mean by "used to" I've always done standard battles only, have always had this same voice, and have always put in the same effort into every video. If i have a lot of subscirbers, it's not becuase I asked them to sub. They subbed to me out of their own will, and if they dont like what i do, they can unsub, i still wont give a fuck.

@fiddleswith No, actually I don't give a fuck. That is exactly what I do, and I'm not going to change it no matter how many people complain. Monotype battles refer to using an entire team in which all the pokemon share a common typing, so it wouldn't make sense to call my shit monotype. I don't do this for people. I do this because I like to. If people like it, whatever. If they don't, whatever I'm still going to do it.

@Blakblastoise also, when u said that "I say what I want to say, and bitches get upset" thats kind of to be expected. u should name all your battles monotype, because u use the same pokes, and the same monotonous voice. then again u don't name your battles anymore, because u don't give a shit about putting effort into ur vids. you go for mediocrity over both quality AND quantity, posting boring battles with a boring narration because u dont give a shit.

@Blakblastoise okay you disagree with that and thats fine, but there are better ways to express that, for some people it IS upsetting to be called a faggot and a bitch. theyre both derogatory names for gays and women respectively, and that can be offensive to some. even if you don't mean them literally whats the point in using them?it just makes u seem mad which causes people to take you less seriously.
