This is yet another video of the climactic event of H.P. Lovecraft's "The Call of Cthulhu," I figured I'd make one last try at it, as filming it from the ground worked a lot better. This video was created using Spore Galactic Adventures.
Probably the best Spore video I have ever seen. Excellent cinematography and effects for a program that has many limitations. Seeing Cthulhu flying in the background near the end really hit me. He's hardly ever seen flying even though he is almost always depicted with wings.
@MaxVonDraken Thanks, I had quite a bit of fun making it. Truth be told, it was completely unintentional to have him fly. As I recall, I'd set him to follow the ship in the act that triggered right after the sailors reached the ship, and Spore Creatures that can jump or fly will often do so when set to follow Vehicles.
@Costinteo From H.P. Lovecraft's 1925 story, "The Call of Cthulhu". It's in the public domain, so there are probably dozens of places it's available online.
@Aragorn212 For good or ill, I do like to do these things with the in-game music, and record the whole thing, unedited, from the game in the allotted two minutes. I initially started making them to show a couple friends what the Adventure engine could do, and it kind of grew from there.
Also, using the in-game music reduces the likeliehood of a DMCA takedown request.
