War on Christmas my ass!!! In this country if you are not christian you are considered an outcast. It's wrong, it's discrimination, and the people that think the minority don't have an equal voice in having their rights represented have no concept of the what the U.S. Constitution provides for all people.

You can keep your Christ in your Christmas all you want. At home, in your private business, in church.

Thank you. It would be a very bad idea for me to try to take anyone's religious practice away. If Christians lost their rights then we poor Pagans would have no chance when we put up pagan Yule decorations, have public pagan celebrations, or want to wear our holy symbols to school All we want is for the rights to be open to faiths.

That's why I like secular symbols like Santa and the Tree. They convey the messages of charity and hope without divisive religious baggage

That's great. I like going to see family members sing at midnight mass. Lots of churches put on great Christmas events I enjoy, and there's beautiful nativity scenes people put on their front lawn. Just so long as it's kept in the private sphere. Public lands, especially city halls and court houses, need to be kept religiously neutral. Some try to compromise by having multicultural symbols(nativity scene, menorah, a Kinara) however, there will always been someone left out.

You know what call it X-mas, Christmas, call it anything you want as long as you don't try to push Christ out of it. If you put up a Thor statue every Thursday I'd be fine with that, accept other people's beliefs.

    "Don't call "yours" Christmas then"

Well, my holiday is "Yule" and we try to use nonexclusive terms like "Happy Holidays" and "X-Mas" but that's when everyone starts complaining about a War On Christmas. Plus I just like the word "Christmas" it brings up wonderful images of Santa, Reindeer and Family. I'm sure you use the word Thursday without meaning to imply the day belongs to Thor, God Of Thunder, while that is actually what the word means

Flying reindeer, elves, snowmen? Don't see any of those in Bible. Joy, charity, hope, love, family. Ok, yes the Bible endorses those things but so do the many other belief systems that celebrate Christmas..including atheists. It's a secular holiday of family and joy. You're free to make Jesus part of your celebration but keep it out of ours
