What strange about this video is that most developers working in linkedin have no clue as to what jquery is, which is pretty strange to see as linkedin is a website and not a software. People working in linkedin should atleast know what it is if not know how to use it.This is really very disappointing to see especially in a well established website like linkedin

In the talk it was referred that not all browsers support event capturing and JQuery does only event bubbling and do not do event capturing is wrong!

In DOM2 event model when event is triggered, event first propagates from the root of dom down to the target element and then back up to the dom root. So, capture phase (root to target element) is always there in any dom2 complaint browsers.

In JQuery also an event listener can be attached to capture phase using 'useCapture' param.
