@columbusoh1 I like that. I hate the idea of every man woman and child for themselves.

People deserve to get health care, no matter if you are rich, poor, innocent, guilty, black, white, atheist, Jewish, blind, deaf, dumb or drunk. Be open to the idea that someday you will not be alive anymore, & you are left worrying about your children's futures. Why would set back this milestone for something that should be so important for our next generation and the idea that everyone deserves some of the help that we can potentially offer them.

I just watched this documentary and it showed the positive and negatives of the Massachusetts system, for the most part it showed how flawed the system is. If you can not afford to pay for healthcare, it makes no difference if its madatory......COST is the big problem. this is a good documentary.......see it if you want to see just how bad the U.S. Healthcare system is.

I agree! The MA plan is a terrible failure - nothing but a boon to private insurance companies and tax dollars going into the pockets of insurance middlemen instead of paying for health care. Subsidizing private insurance doesn't contain cost or make healthcare affordable for most and doesn't address the incentive to deny care for profit.
We need the real reform - Single Payer!
pnhp . org has a lot of great info and hope people will learn more about it.

Beware! I heard that near the end of this documentary they included some positive comments about the Massachusetts mandated health insurance law. When any health care law causes problems like the Massachusetts law has caused, we don't want it!. Do NOT believe whatever they included on this documentary. The MA law is bad! I know citizens in MA who are trying to get the word out about how bad it is. Perhaps the film producers are working hard day and night to take that section out. Let's hope so.

I agree, the way our medical system works you end up paying so much just to go to the doctor there seems to be pressures to go only when you have to, aka dying/hospitalized.
Hospitals think I owe them $45,000. I will die before I pay it for the sloppy half assed job they did that nearly killed me, and they dumped me out a week early with open wounds. If they want their money they are going to have to come through the business end of my rifle.

I as a Christian conservative support universal health care. You cant call yourself a Christian and be against taking care of one another because you label yourself as a conservative.
