Amazing Shawn .... R.I.P

it was good until then end, when, in shawn lane fashion he has to shit out 10,000 64th notes. This song isnt about speed but shawn lane will take it to his grave shitting all over a good song when it could have been done much better at a slower pace.

@Fluffypopcicle Ive worked most of it out, its mostly E major and C#minor. but then again your right :L

You can't really say here. There is no one specific mode, he goes all over the neck.
-
When Shawn played another artist's song, it was virtually indistinguishable from the original, except for the incredible runs thrown in for good measure.
-
Does anyone know what mode he is using here?

He and the Willy's played my bachelor party in 93. Got to jam with them. Great guy. beautiful talent. God Rest.
I was with Eric Johnson back in '95 or '96 and he said that he wished he could express himself so freely in his solos as Shawn was able to. What a great compliment given from a very humble and talented guitarist to another.
Shaun was great guy, a great player and his death is one of the most tragic losses the music world has ever suffered. I was fortunate enough to have spent time with him on several occasions both playing and just talking.
He's missed but still appreciated deeply.

It's sickening to see such effortless speed. I'm sure Eric Johnson was as blown away by his superhuman fingers as we all were. BTW this is my absolute favorite Eric Johnson song. Cool to see this vid. Thanks.
