  • i heard that there puttin up new projects in the 3rd ward called the harmony oaks project...... if it is build and completed all i have to say is please niggas dont tear it up to quickly iv been all through the 3 ward and it is grimmy down there... and to the people making the building use good concret bullit stoping material :)

  • @sugerdaddy5 It's not really projects anymore because all of the homes aren't public. It's a good thing on the city's part. other than that, Those Bricks & Concrete aren't coming back. it's more like wood and Plaster now.. but it works and looks good..

  • I miss how they use to have the loud speakers out especially on saturdays or during the summer while the guys would be playing basketball

I was there when they played 911 is a joke and the police got stuck in the mud then got mad at the DJ for playing it.

It hit channel six news, i think of that with a smile.

I even remember one dude jumped the gate they put up he learned how to climb it and the police couldn't follow him...

  • RIGHT!! Milton & Gibson was always packed

  • @keishajp Man shut-up!! Anyway why would they tear down something made out of bricks and put something up made out of wood? A hurricane or tornado can knock those things down. The projects been up for over 60 years and never been damaged by a hurricane or tornado before. You see Hurricane Katrina or Rita didn't damage the Lafitte Project. We just miss the projects because it brings back memories. You must not be a real New Orleanian to understand.

  • it's a shame that hard working people can't afford decent housing. If you are in a situation where you're living from paycheck to paycheck, check out low income resources to see what's available to you. Good Luck People!

  • damn I've been to a place like this many time and nothing bad happened

  • this is my hood ima stick hoodkn with it till the day i die thats my fuckn

  • @CRASSxCLASS right...like juve said "the magnolia aint the bricks, the magnolia is the people"

  • I lived in the projects and i have lived in rich neighborhoods.Ive also lived in regular hoods. Id rather live in the regular hood. Fuck the projects. I saw my nigga get killed on my doorstep and bleed from his head while the police came in 5 minutes and the ambulance took 40 mins. The projects never showed me no love. Fuck roaches.Fuck free water.Fuck cheap rent.I dont see why niggas get so upset when they knock the projects down. Make some new memories. The projects are just that A PROJECT.

  • by the way I am black.. I still have family that live in New Orleans( Hollygrove)

All im saying is dont be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. I know people cant help where they come from, but it dosnt mean you have to live there forever... you dont have to become the projects.. To me it seems like people are afraid of change, and afraid to get out the ghetto.

  • we would bitch, if these crackers would stop getting in dumb ass wars waisting money and make the education better in the inner city.and create some jobs..u crackers are so fucking stupid, thats why this country is so fucked up now
