Wish Takahashi could've resigned but he was asking for WAY TOO MUCH money. I think he's worth about $1.5-2.5 mill but his asking price of $4-5 mill was ridiculous. We'll definately miss him out of the pen but a signing of Grant Balfour and/or Jose Contreras would suffice.

I totally agree with both of u. His versatility wuz great. Why couldn't the Mets just resign him. He would have been a great lefty in that bullpen. Who do we have now? Feliciano? Getting older and more money. We got nobody! Valdes got cut and Takahashi wuz a good left hander that could serve as a long man too in case the starter got knocked around.
