"This isn't 9/11," Obama said. "We know how we got into this mess. What we need now is leadership that gets us out.
I'll provide it. John McCain won't."

Will Obama's Finance Chairperson, Penny Pritzker, become his U.S.Treasury Secretary? Will she provide that leadership?

The simplest way I can break this down, and then I'll shut up and get out of the way: Obama works for the same Military-Industrial Complex that McCain, Bush, and Clinton do. This ultimately amounts to hundreds of billions (probably even more) of our tax dollars (not to mention American and foreign lives) being spent every year to maintain Imperialist presence in roughly 180 countries around the globe. There is absolutely nothing remotely resembling responsible financial philosophy in that.

If he wanted to look to experts doing true independent, non-partisan research, then he should study ECONOMISTS to inform his views and votes on economic policy - NOT Corporate-puppet politicians like Obama. Ludwig Von Mises, Henry Hazlitt, F.A. Hayek, Rothbard, Milton Friedman, Stiglitz, etc. How ANYONE can trust EITHER of these parties with financial matters is completely beyond me.

I'm not getting the context of the message wrong. There is no context of any substance. And yes, the Neo-Con economic philosophy is overtly immoral and destructive, and we need to chase those crooks out of office with all the political force we - as a citizenry - have. What DOES NOT necessarily follow is that the "alternative" - the Neo-Liberal economic agenda - is ANY better. It is every bit as horrible, but far more artful and covert in its criminal activity.

You're getting the context of this message wrong, or you're probably refusing to see it properly. Ignorance and Over-confidence are factors that lead to the downfall of leaders. He's saying that he's willing to listen to the opinions of others, that he doesn't know everything and will listen to the advice of those with more experience and make his own conclusions regarding whatever it is they're discussing.
