Hey i have the same one, e627... my specs are athlon 64 2.0ghz single 2gb ddr2 800mhz ram 160gb hdd 5,400RPM b/g wifi card my upgrade will be this turion 64x2 2.0ghz tl-60 4gb ddr2 800mhz ram 2x 2gb 500gb momentus 7,200rpm intel 6200 wifi b/g/n u think this will be a good upgrade? do u think performace will improve? and do u know if theres any batteries higher than 6-cells for this series?

@Grimxmetalhead Good upgrade yeah you will need to see if you can try to get a 6 cell battery as even just uprgading the cpu will decease battery life not to mention another 2 gb's of memory and a 7200 rpm hard drive it'll run very nice. Usually acer or emachines use same designs on all there comparable laptops I would google it there could be one out there that'll fit try the acre 500 series I think that's what the model numbers are not sure.

is it ok if I try to power the laptop while it's open, after I change the processor, to see if it works? and instead of it's lcd I plug in a monitor on the vga.

@angrygr8 sorry for late reply by now you probably have already tested everything with the laptop not fully closed but it is ok as long as you are very careful.

Wow, u should show putting it back together i have the same exact Laptop and i need a Duo processor ima get the sameone as u you but how much did this cost for the new processor And The silver Jelly.

can i replace my AMD Athlon TF-20 1.60 GHz processor on my emachines e625 laptop for an AMD Athlon x2 processor.
