  • just weld the end of the pipes up

  • @rogerscottburchett1 That would be overkill... hahahaha.

  • How much did that ride and all cost u so far?..Ibeen wanting to build a rat sinc eI was kid..I had a 76 duster..But couldnt find the help for the crossmember plus was way to expensive.. if you have yahoo messenger u can add me at ever8776@yahoo.com Id like to ask a few questions

  • @yourit311 I don't know what it cost. I've never added it all up. I've got a pile of reciepts for this and that and maybe one day I'll ad them all up...

  • we use COARSE steel wool, the kind made by bulldog here in B.C., sos are to dense, don't allow any real flow, they also dont have soap in them to burn, try it out

  • @Jayglaim I wound up using stainless steel mesh. Worked great and so far hasn't burned out.

  • lets see how she sounds.........click. lol

  • I just did this in my old beetle, it acctualy worked and it sounds pretty cool! It made the straight pipe I have sound a lot better and it gave me just the right amount of back pressure.

  • I'm sure you could come up with baffles of your own that would flow good without

much back pressure using the same principle they use to make silencers for guns...

  • i no u already figured the baffle out but i was thinking that if u get on an atv parts store you could get fiberglass baffle and use a rube thith a washer on the en and holes tru the tube to keep the baffle in
