Equipped with a brushless 180 outrunner motor
Small enough for experienced pilots to fly in the backyard

Overview
Designed by aerobatic world champion Quique Somenzini, the Ultra Micro eXtreme (UMX) Beast® is a thrilling small-scale recreation of one of the most awe inspiring airplanes on the airshow circuit today. And, like the full-scale Beast, it delivers high-powered aerobatic excitement that will put a grin on the face of any intermediate to experienced RC pilot.

At the heart of its phenomenal performance is a brushless motor, propeller and battery combination that delivers a spine-tingling thrust-to-weight ratio. This incredible power output, combined with its well-balanced controls and carbon reinforced wing, allow the UMX™ Beast to achieve a level of precision and performance that has more in common with its giant-scale Hangar 9® twin than any ultra micro you've flown before.

The UMX Beast BNF comes completely assembled with a BL180 brushless outrunner motor and Spektrum AR6400LBL Ultra Micro DSM2 Receiver/BL ESC installed. Built-in long-throw servos on the AR6400LBL drive the elevator and rudder while two independent Spektrum AS2000L long-throw ultra micro servos drive the ailerons. A 2S 7.4V 120mAh 20C Li-Po battery and DC Li-Po charger are also included.

Needed to Complete
A 4+ Channel DSM2 Transmitter (with Dual Rates and Exponential programming recommended)

  • Nice plane and vid Eric!!

  • @anderman72 Thanks kindly anderman72

  • Wow Horizon is pricing themselves out of the market. Better to buy a bare bones and make your own. Very nice review as always. You can buy a nice 5HP minibike for the price of that Styrofoam plane.

  • @jauchiu Again, I've said this is a pricey plane but it is fun though. Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • its a nice little plane but it doesn't look like it could handle one of my landings!, is it a strong build? or does it need sticky tape for repairs?, good videos by the way, i have bought planes from watching your reviews. but may have to pass this one due to the price.

  • @corbystarlet I agree, the price is my only con with this plane. Other than that it is a great micro plane. I really appreciate your comment on my reviews. That is good to hear. Thanks for watching Corbystarlet.

  • RIP Bryan Jensen :(

  • @joehandsome99 Brother it is worth every penny. I have been flying 6+ years and this is truly a work of art. The plane handles like nothing on the market. This is a MUST have for any micro fan.

  • I've just gotta ask. This stuff looks really neat and all, when I'm shopping for a gift for my twin four year old nephews. So I wouldn't call this stuff useless. But for all of the money it would cost to buy all of those dozens and dozens of RC planes in the opening shot of this video, wouldn't you rather spend all of that on just ONE plane that could actually take you off of the ground? Hell, with all of the little brushless motors you've got, you could power the damned thing!

  • R.IP. Bryan Jensen may he fly in peace. :' (

  • you'd think for the price they'd throw in the cord for the charger..how chintsy

  • O_O wow thats a lot of planes

  • Amazing plane eric! :)

  • hey they just released a 3D version of this

  • pretty cool

  • i think it a good plane but for me its to exspensive but thats my opinion

  • What skill level would you say you need to be able to fly the Beast? great vid!!

  • @98525 Indeed.. Ive been to hundreds of airshows.. Bryan Jensen's crash had to be the worst I have ever seen by far.
