This is AWESOME!It's hard to find footage of the coati doing this in the wild. I've worked with coatimundis in captivity for a couple of years now. Why is this so cool?You'll see the coati sort of 'rolling' the spider a little? He's trying to get the spikey hairs off so he can eat it. What's amazing is that if a captive coati who's NEVER encountered a tarantula is given something small and fuzzy like a toy mouse? The coati will peform this behavior like a pro. Fascinating!Sorry about the spider.
