This is a video made on 24th April 2011 of the 10 bells at Rochester being lowered in peal. To give an idea of size, the largest bell, the tenor, weighs 30cwt (1500kg) and is 54 inches (137cm) across the mouth of the bell.

  • Is the treble false clapper?

  • @williewhistler

No, the treble is up right.

  • @ Jonen010 Amazing to see all bells being rung down simultaneously ... what camera did you use to recording this, out of interest?

  • @foveauxbear Thanks for the comment! Not sure what teh camera was as I did not set up the recording, however it was only a small digital video camera with a fixed lens, not especially technical.
