Starcraft 2 Mothership + Colossi toilet in PvP. (How to win a PvP in lategame - short version)

A shorter version of some mothership play in a 1v1 diamond ladder protoss versus protoss.
A nice trick to win in a lategame situation, use vortex on the opponents army and park your colossi outside. When they come out the splash damage from the colossi will kill everything almost instantly.

I heard about it in one of iNcontroL's coaching videos where he talked about how awesome a mothership is in the lategame. It is very similar to an archon or baneling toilet.

This has been patched in the PTR in 1.3.0 patch and the fix will probably carry over to the global version so try it while you can. A mothership will probably still be useful after the patch since the observers are a high priority target, and if the observer goes down the opponent will have a hard time seeing you.

@sadhukar Yes it is cost effective, end game it is not hard to get at all, I've seen it used effectively before, it might just be common, but it does get used, and it was unfair. So don't go saying it's impossible to get when it clearly isn't.

@enlivee no it isn't. no one gets the mothership in 1v1 because the tech tree is poor and the unit is not cost effective at all. the 'change' was useless and will affect a very small number of games.
