Self taught Australian photographer Peter Lik is being compared with Ansel Adams for his nature photography. But his photos are more like a combination of art and computer science. You have to see them to believe them.

  • Some of his narratives are blatant lies. One recent image is of a landscape and tree in silhouette against the moon in a starry sky. He poetically describes the moment he captured the shot with trembling fingers and pounding heart. In fact, it was a (badly executed) composite of three different photographs taken at different times in different places. I don't mind electronic manipulation if it's declared, but to claim such an image is a single shot is at best disingenuous, at worst fraudulent.
