These would of been perfect for the ECML 155mph on normal routes 186 on a few new allignments.

I think they looked much nicer in this livery than they do in Eurostar livery. Shame they didn't wear it for longer.

Talk about seized calipers! They haven't been scrapped, they are currently in France and the contract was renewed this year quite recently.

Great trains. Rather than replace them with electric locos and stock the UK re-engined 30 year old deisels!

From the angle of when the first one you filmed arrived at Peteborough, it's easy to see why the doors were painted red - the are very camouflaged!

G.N.E.R running Eurostars? What next. South West Trains running TGV's? Actually that would be good. Standing at fleet station and hearing the whizzing of those beauties instead of the chugging of the sprinters. Exciting possibilties. Mind you they woild need to install overhead wires.

maybe now that there are more electrified lines, and higher speeds, maybe they will take the older Eurostars, and put them on the other lines now since they are going to replace them with Siemens ICE technology like trains.
