i never knew harold hunter died... i live in Haiti but back when i went to school in the states and i was skating i would watch his zoo york vids and watch him tear it up, always loved him as a skater so sad to find this out

@ptrick81 you mean that movie Brown Bunny directed by Vicent Gallo in 2003? That film did great on festivals . Sevigny never wanted to be a big office movie, she worked a lot with Harmony Korine who is the writer of Kids..and she always play great wholes on indie films..If you are a person who is used to watch only big Office Hollywood films then you would have that type of mind that thinks an actress is mental ill because she played a whole in a film..

Larry Clark had the vision to ask Harmony Korine to write a script about skaters in NYC , and he came up with this remarkable story, very shocking but so real. I am so glad I watched this when I was 17, since I don't see so many powerful films for the youth these days.

@ForgottenFaces001 Well said..Many of my friends in Brazil didn't know either..and was very sad like my self when first heard of this sad news. He will always be respected as a skater and for his performance of one of the most youth films ever made.

I am sure Harold would be doing pretty well today as well..It was just a sad tragedy..nobody is perfect, people can recover from mistakes..He just didn't have that chance, as I said it was a sad tragedy.I believe that many fans of the film and Skate will always have respect for him.

@ptrick81 Well mental illness was not the subject on my comment …I replied saying that most of the actors from Kids did pretty well, specially Sevigny . She just had finished an incredible series on HBO BIg LOVE, I was so moved by her performance . I can't care less about her personal issues, she is talented that is what matters. Besides, today Sevigny is very respect in the industry, she doesn't not pick any hole or sale her self to no sense big office films.
