Decided to take her on an 800 mile trip in Northern Ontario to see a friend over the weekend.
All went well until the last 30 miles when a water hose decided to blow up.....
At the time of shooting it, the outside temp was -19C. with -24C overnight. No access to blockheater.. She sounded pretty bad :)

  • same motor of my van :p

  • Nice shot! It looks like somewhere in Sweden! The same road ("motorväg" = highway), the same landscape, the same winterweather etc.! Blockheaters (SE "motorvärmare") is a must! Especially if you drive an elderly VW DIESEL but when it runs it can run hour after hour! I see your Jettas speedometer is graded in km/h

    Regards!

  • same year as mine but not deisel oh well got mine running again today after 5 months love it!!!!

  • How fast are you crusing? and whats your mileage?

  • @Seattlecarnut

    heck yes!

  • Nice sounding car. I've always liked early VW Jettas, particularly diesels.

  • actually pretty quiet inside for being a diesel!
