  • Awesome! You are really good playing the cello.

I'm a cellist too and interested to know where do you buy gut strings.

I also would like t know if your instruments are recently handcrafted or not.

  • @TokkunTobi Thanks! The strings are aquila, and the cello is indeed recently made (Jay-Haide, California).

  • WOW...

thats all i can say to this,,,

how can you play with 5 STRINGSS!

i play cello and im super impressed!

one question, is this considered a whole different instrument??

  • Thanks! It is great fun! I just recorded all the suites, to be released this fall.

The Violoncello piccolo is a 5 stringed baroqe cello. This particular instrument is roughly 3/4 the size of a regular cello. Google your way to my blog for more information.

  • ooooooooooooohhhhh you are the right one pretty girl of the video!!!! amazing!! you play really good. And now I know what is the piccolo!! regards from Mexico and excuse my poor english

  • excuse me but why her cello has five strings???

  • I really need a piccolo to play that, is so high!, great interpretation =).

  • @lazylaj I know it's kinda late to respond to this, but I just found this video, so what the heck. It actually doesn't feel that uncomfortable, and for some pieces, it's actually more comfortable because of the flexibility it gives you. It doesn't get tiring either, since you're not actually clasping the cello, but rather positioning your legs to form a holder the cello simply rests in.

  • @josephinevanlier I LOVE HAIDE!! i have one and it's amazing. everyone is jealous of it :)

  • does it hurt your calves to have to support it, because I can't find an end pin, and it seems hard to support an instrument without one...

  • That is so cool I wonder what it is like to play on a 5-stringed cello I have only played on a 4-stringed cello

  • i love the sound it has in the e string
