The first thing I do is remove all the labels, including the ones identifying the brand. I chose this shoulder bag because it doesn't make my back sweaty like a backpack does. Sling bags are light, easy to carry, and convenient.

it just so happens im going to thailand in a few months and taiwan is one of my stops, so i was wondering if you could tell me exactly where you got your bag?

@fallenangel18108 Bag designs usually come and go, but this bag design is really popular, so it's been in production for the past several years. I was surprised to find this bag several times I've been back the past 4 years. You'll have to find it on the streets where they sell luggage and bags. They usually hang it over the sidewalk or in front of their shop. I got this one in Hsimending District in Taipei. My bag is worn out, so it might be time for me to pick up another one.

pho9195 - This bag was purchased in Taiwan. It's a no-name brand that had an ugly flap and buckle. I don't think you can find it. Sorry about that.

What modifications do you plan on making to your sewing machine? Just kidding. I like that bag, very cool for wearing around a busy city. I've got an insulated bib project (tactic-bibs) I'm working on that are going to have similar internal pouches and pistol proof Kevlar. You are right about that sewing taking a lot of time!

dude... all you had to do was get a 'MOLLE' tactical type sling pack. All of the ones I'm looking at have molle loops all over , on the back, sides and even on the sling strap itself. You can totally customize it with different molle attachments... they come in different sizes and uses.

Great little vid, thanks. I've come to the conclusion that modifying is the only way to go with sling bags. So many good designers still don't get the need for a phone pocket on the strap! And don't any of these people think about water bottles?

I like your strap+velcro idea for the strap pouches. Good ideas!
