New Camp ASCCA Staff Learns First Aid

Camp nurses Pam, Barbara, and Margaret took time out of their busy schedules on Monday to teach the new Camp ASCCA staff basic first aid.

While activities at Camp ASCCA are supervised by well trained staff and are very safe the nurses wanted to teach the counselors first aid as a safety precaution in order to prepare them if it was ever needed.

Nurse Barbara said the training is important because "if you have the knowledge it decreases the fear of what to do if something does happen." She feels it is good to for the counselors to practice what they would do in different situations so they can provide a fun, safe environment for their campers.
