One of my favorite pieces. Beautifully played. :)

Very, very clean man, nice. Especially for an upright like that : ) You'de probably sound pro on a better piano.
-
fantastic
i tought i was the only one that wondered why a piano has pedals
-
Very fine touch. Backing off sustain like that reveals detail and precision. I agree that it sounds a little dry (in places) but it never becomes mush.
-
yes i agree, you have exelent technique, but i prefer more pedal, some places are just..so plain
either than that u played it perfectly!

Well i guess everyone has their own attitude and perspective towards the understanding music.Anyway,it was very very well played.*claps*

No dude. Use more pedal. Some places just sound too dry... But excellent technique n interpretation. it's a shame.

Your piano has a nice crisp sound.

Fantastic interpretation! I'm pretty tired of people pounding this piece out with no refined touch, and you definitely did not murder this piece.

great!! i like the way you kept your foot light realy showed your talent.5
the clarity was amazing, but wheres the pedal!?

Just a different interpretation. I prefer less pedal to feature the internal struggle of the rhythm and to contrast the sound with the second melodic section (around 0:23). Honestly, I think people over-pedal this piece to death in order to cover up their inconsistencies, both rhythmic and melodic.

I like the cleaness of it but.... It sure could use more pedal in the beginning. When i play it, it helps me play the dynamics more expressively :)
also can you slur the notes a little bit more?
Its really good otherwise. I know from experience that its hard to get the 3 against 4 down right. I had to break it up into 12. What'd you do?

Thanks! I find that most people pedal the hell out of the beginning, completely obscuring the frenetic 4/3 rhythmic relationship. To me, dry = clean, and enables me to control the little swirls of sound within each beat or two. I can stretch an 11th, so I usually finger-pedal the left hand to create an interesting "bottom pedal - top unpedal" effect.

Practice techniques? I divide it into one-beat groups, and learn where the notes come together on the beat itself. I only play the notes on the beat and leave everything else out. After, I slowly play each group with everything, concentrating on where those notes come together at the top and bottom of each triplet. Hope this helps!
