i do not support this technique of riding, but i will say that these horses could and would easily protest by acting up or bucking Anky off if they were in the pain some of you think they are in.. the horses are not stupid. Also.. her horses have long thriving careers which can only happen when the horses are bodies are healthy and well looked after as well as the horses loving what they are doing.

I'm not going to criticize or defend either system, although I will say that never, EVER would I allow someone to use either of them on one of my horses. I'm just saying that the technique itself is not new, and it's not limited to dressage. The purpose of leaving the horses tied in this position was also to make them flexible. Anky and cowboys do have that in common, I guess.
-
You cannot compare those techniques: horses with tied heads standing in the same position or ride them.
What's the purpose of standing in this position? Make them flexibel??
Or is it teasing?
And Anky does'nt train all her horses the same way, first she wants to know the horse, his difficulties, then she decide what she is gonna do in the training to make the horse stronger and flexibel.

'Yanky' Van Grunsven strikes again....
-
Hate to break it to you, but there's nothing "modern" about these techniques. I learned to ride at a Quarter horse boarn in CA, where the trainer tied horses heads into the same position, to leave them that way for 20 minutes or so, then ties to one side or the other. In today's dressage warm up areas, it's used under saddle, but it's the same thing.

If the dutch team is treating there horses so cruelly why do they become the best team ever? By abusing there beloved horses? Or maybe it is based on a system that trains horses in a combination of old and new training methods? One other thing: horses changes also just like us. Breeding is based on stronger athlectic horses with nice character. And if people want to be really honested to horses we would'nt ride them in the first place.
Have some respect!

dear anky,
did you hear about Dr.Gerd heuschmann? What do you think about him and his studies?
Fuck you, bitch.
-
you think so?
horses want to please their riders...
and when you "break" your horse, what she obviously does, it won't do anything... because it just fears MORE pain!
-
um...no, that is not a relaxed trot at all. rollkur simply cannot create relaxation; tension =/= relaxation
-
If the horse had pane, Anky wouldn't still be on that horse. She would already be dropped on the ground. This is just a relaxed trot, that's all.
i think she should get disqualified..!this is NOT beautiful and it's NOT good for the horse.nobody wants to see such a cruelty.poor horse.stupid anky van grunsven.

Everbody know: This is not classical dressage, this is animal-abusing! Mrs. Grunsven is shurely not the only one and she is still going on. See latest foto at the Cavallo! She even never cares for useful dressing. Do anyone know, what happend to the horse in the video? Is it still alive or suffering alone in a cold and dark stable? Or did al slaughter his bloody work on him and at least the meat was ateing at France? Freaky people! They call this a delicatess.
